Arch as an architectural and metaphorical element plays an important role in the conceptual development and design evolution of the house. Be it on the facade of the house or in the interior space, arch as an element connects spaces both outside and within the house. In facade the arch defines the entry point into the house, thus acting as threshold by connecting the outside space with inside space but at the same time also establishing the distinct identity and environment of both spaces. Whereas a number of arches strategically spread in the interior space of the house visually connects the private zones with communal zones and also maintains their privacy by segregating them physically. The house consists of bed rooms with attached baths and wardrobes, lounge area, drawing & dining area, parking and outdoor lawn on ground level. Whereas 3 more bed rooms, house help room, lounge equipped with a kitchenette and surrounded by terraces from front and rear side is provided on the first floor level. The front terrace will be adorned with alam symbolically representing the religious inclination of the family. Whereas the rear terrace will be used for communal gatherings.
